Introduction
How many times have you told yourself that you need to get in shape and exercise, but then never followed through? If you’re like most people, the answer is probably too many to count. But what if there was a way to make getting in shape fun and easy? Well, there is! With the flip a coin workout, all you need is a coin and some determination.
Here’s how it works: every time you flip the coin, it will land on either heads or tails. If it’s heads, you do 10 push-ups. If it’s tails, you do 10 sit-ups. That’s it! No matter what the outcome of the flip is, you’re guaranteed to get a workout in. And structured correctly, you can even make it a full-body workout.
So why not give it a try? You might be surprised at how quickly you start seeing results.
Getting Started with the flip a coin workout
Now that you know the basic idea behind the coin flip workout, it’s time to get started!
There are a few things you’ll need before you begin:
- A coin (required 😁)
- A stopwatch or timer (optional)
- A set of dumbbells or other types of weight (optional)
First, start the timer (if you want to do it on time), then flip the coin. If it comes up heads, do 20 jumping jacks. If it comes up tails, do 10 pushups. Once you’ve completed your jumping jacks or pushups, take a quick break (use the timer) then flip the coin again.
You can make it more challenging by adding more steps or rounds to your workout.
Eg. :
Round 1 – 20 jumping jacks or 10 pushups
Round 2 – 20 situps or 10 squads
Round 3 – 30 Second Plank or 15 Lunges
Round 4 – Etc.
The longer you go, the more calories you’ll burn and the better shape you’ll be in!
Habit and Exercise
The best way to get in shape is by following a workout routine that is specifically designed for your fitness goals. However, if you’re looking for a quick and easy workout that you can do without having to think too much about it, then a coin flip workout may be just what you need.
And remember, when starting a new habit, always start by making it crazy easy to do. That means that the first time you do it, it should feel like it’s too easy. Then you add a little (1 more rep) every day. In the beginning, it’s all about starting the habit and sticking with it. Because if you stick with the habit the results will follow, I promise you that.
So what are you waiting for? Give it a try and see how you feel afterward. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results.
